SEO & Social Media Strategy for a Financial Startup

When a financial startup was looking to increase brand awareness and lead generation, they came to me for results in SEO and Social Media.

The Challenge

A financial planning and advice startup was looking for ways to stand out in a competitive landscape.

Their website was new, so their search engine visibility was low and the site itself had failed Google’s core web vitals assessment on SEO and accessibility.

Their social presence was virtually non-existent, with no clear road-map or strategy in place.

The Strategy

The online content on existing pages was fine as a basis, so I looked to increase and optimise core service pages from the fundamentals an agency had already started on.

I created a bespoke and comprehensive content plan to increase brand perception and trust, in the form of informational blog posts.

I also looked at internal linking opportunities, and created relevant meta titles and descriptions using keywords I had researched.

From this content plan, I was able to create a social strategy that aligned with the company’s insights that I had written – making the company a thought leader in its niche sector.

The company specified that they wanted three blogs going out per month of at least 1,000 words. It was my idea to ensure that there was a theme to the blogs per month, and that the three weekly social posts matched to the content.

Any reactive content was shared on LinkedIn, which is the preferred platform for B2B.

From the combination of Social and SEO strategies, the results over a 4 -month period included...
