A local tattoo studio approached me with the hopes of increasing engagement and enquiries with a robust social media strategy after their original Instagram account was hacked.
The tattoo studio had been operating in a central city location for 15 years and had built up a strong social presence on their previous Instagram account.
When the account was hacked in 2025, they saw a dramatic decrease in online enquiries through social media.
They operate in a highly competitive field, so it was pivotal to their success that I create a content strategy that aligned with their goals.
What was clear from the start was that the studio was lacking a clear brand voice. Images on the feed weren’t thought out and the captions didn’t prompt user interaction.
While the artists work was great, the conversion rates and enquiries were dropping off week on week.
Using online design software, I started to create a brand voice and look that could be recognised on the feed as the studio’s corporate image whilst still in keeping with a “laid back” tone.
The captions on each post have a clear CTA and I made sure that individual artists were credited.
To prompt interaction and engagement I included different formats, including polls and tattoo/piercing facts and myths in order to educate followers and inspire confidence in the studio.
